    Harrison Gardner is a builder, teacher and co-founder of Common Knowledge, the non-profit social enterprise focused on sharing skills for a sustainable life.

    Harrison has 15 years experience designing and managing the construction of conventional, sustainable and alternative buildings worldwide. His mission is to encourage, enable and equip as many people as possible with the skills and confidence they need to start becoming the solution that they are looking for. He co-founded Common Knowledge to teach the core construction principles and techniques needed for people to build more efficient, affordable and sustainable structures. His book is entitled BUILD YOUR OWN, published by Gill, instructs owner-builders on the fundamentals of construction, and he is the presenter of Build Your Own Home, a four-part RTE television series which follows the trials and tribulations of homeowners from across Ireland, as they take on the challenge of building their own home.
